Hiyo, it's been a while!  (How long depends on which of my little updates I tried to do during the trip via the blogger app on my phone actually made it onto the site.  It is not very consistent.)

Anyway, not much progress yet today, I got distracted trying to discover all the secrets of plaid for a plaid screen tone.  But I will have more in tonight and will be pondering the page limit strongly and with gravity...

Today is the day we can remember in the future when I was running out of space and still decided to devote a large panel to the concept of breakfast.

I just counted up my panels for the two pages I made today, and they average in 9.5 panels a page.  The first 10 pages averaged 4.1.  I'm going to assume that this means I'm getting better, at least at writing tiny text with a dry erase marker.  Anyway, I've only got seven pages to get to the fight now and I'm starting to look at how I might restructure those early pages to stay within the page limit.

Currently uploading page 23!  It's the most challenging page I've done yet, even after last night's multi-marker late night mess.  I'm trying to get across more emotions and stuff here than maybe the entire comic so far, and on top of that I'm trying some fancy (for me) action stuff and also showing the scene from slightly different angles.  I'm kind of proud of it and kind of sore from sitting like this for so long.

Anyway, I've got my work cut out for me since we're leaving for Illinois Tuesday.  The updates will probably be a little more sparse then, but they could also be VERY INTERESTING since I've got 8 pages to pop in a tad more exposition and then try and draw a battle...

Two pages down for today, but I'm hoping to get another one done to put up tonight just so I can get all the flashback stuff out and over with.  It is hard to get across the black manga flashback background in dry erase.  Also, a lot of little details need to get fixed before the final draft.  You'll see tonight that I wrote "reverse body" in a panel because I was too lazy to erase what I'd already done and reverse it, and if you look through the whole comic the door to the mummy hut probably opens in like 3 different directions...

Hey errnobody, I'm back in the office working on my manga again after a week of being busy doing other things that aren't making my manga.  I've got a lot to do if I plan on starting work on the final draft before the last week of August, but it's still EXTREMELY DOABLE!

I'll have two pages up later tonight on the googer pruss, so check those out and let me know you can't read what they say because it's in dry-erase and tiny!

This week my pace will probably take a hit.  I am helping at VBS for Pepap's churches and we have a guest coming tomorrow night for the rest of the week and I was helping make the house look presentable.  (Also my office, or as it's better known, "the guest bedroom.")  I'll have a page up a little laaaaater.

Okay, I did an update on my phone yesterday and like 10 hours later my phone was still saying it was posting it.  I don't see it here, so phbt.  The main point was that it was the weekend and I was taking it easy since next week I'll be helping at Pepap's VBS in the mornings.  It's the dang weekend and my phone can't blag.  phbbllt

Got 15 pages sketched out now, just put them up on Googer Pruss.  Crossing my fingers that I'll be able fit more in when I'm doing the digital.  This is about the halfway point here and I've still got a page or so before I introduce backstory/conflict?  I might break the bones in my fingers I am going to be crossing them so hard.  Anyway, I've caught up from yesterday more than I had even planned, and check out all them new mummies!

Had errands to run today, so I've only just started a page and done a little doodling and research as I rode to and fro.  So far I've got three characters named, which is where I was yesterday -1 +3.  Also, when we were on a smooth rode, I started sketching out the mummy shack.
